*Update*

Pertaining to the law dealing with the lead testing of children's items...

I've not read in-depth, but what I have read seems to conclude that the law has become slightly more "user" friendly...how this will affect garage sales and things of that nature, I'm not real sure. My aunt did say that she will no longer be able to sell children's books, toys, or pajamas. I will be interested to find out more about the parameters of the law, but felt that I should post an update.

Wow...this was INTERESTING

Most frugal people like to shop at second-hand places rather than buying new. It's good for the environment to shop second-hand, and I know many, many people who clothe their family(kids) this way.

I have an aunt who runs a very nice consignment store, and if this law goes through much of her profit will be done away with. It is interesting that I never heard of this law before.
This article is from the Los Angeles Times, and I thought I would share it!

Some owners say the cost of testing for toxic lead and phthalates will shut their businesses. The law goes into effect Feb. 10.
