The Plot Thickens

We all love books. We may blog, use the computer frequently, and consider ourselves somewhat techie, but face it: we love books, and have since we were kids. We may not be veracious readers, but we have our childhood favorites. I don't know about you guys, but old books have been my friends since I learned how to read. The first book I read was an original old Nancy Drew book. The cover was dilapidated, the binding was crumbly, and the pages smelt of delicious book dust. It was wonderful to go to libraries as a child and find old books to read. The older books (i.e. before 1970) were the ones that became the most beloved.
Here is an article about the destruction of old children's books. I don't know how far the implications will be, but I felt like posting this.
I am very upset over this, and I feel that we are at the sunset of an era.

Hello Morgan!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. It was so good to hear from you again! : o )

How sad about that book ban. I have always love the older children's books. They are such wholesome stories compared to the awful things that are out there today for kids to read.

I hope you don't mind, I linked to your website and your brother's G.I. Joe live website on my blog. I LOVE both of your blogs - keep up the fantastic work!

Wishing you the best,
Abbey

It's a terrible, unsound shame.

I loved the original Nancy Drew books, Morgan. Ü

Oh, how sad...it truly is! I love children's books - in fact I just starting reading my brothers Five Little Peppers and How they grew, one of my favorites.(I'm trying to interest them in something other than the Hardy Boys...)
